A couple of days ago the delegation of Turkmenistan including officials of ministries and departments and Dagdan folk group from Turkmenbashi came back from Republic of Korea.

The visit of the Turkmen delegation was dedicated to the solemn ceremony of presenting Ruhnama in the Korean language held in Seoul on July 24. The representatives of social community, governmental and business sectors of Korea and accredited diplomatic corps took part in the ceremony.

The speakers noted that the people of Korea who were very much interested in unprecedented reforms carried out in independent neutral Turkmenistan henceforth would have an opportunity to know the ancient history and original culture of the Turkmen people. Speaking on the scale of reforms and attention the Turkmen leader focused on expanding international co-operation the hosts emphasized the importance of strengthening the relations between Turkmenistan and Korea the peoples of which were bound with the deep spiritual roots and mutual respect.

The Turkmen artists performing concerts at the Palace of Culture in Pusan and Seoulland cultural and entertaining complex in Seoul created a furore.

Within the framework of the visit the members of the Turkmen delegation visited the parliament of the Korean Republic and world-famous corporations LG, SK and Samsung.

President of the Association on cultural exchange between the Republic of Korea and Central Asian countries Li Ok Ren expressed profound gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov for his help in organisation of a visit of the Turkmen delegation to Korea and belief in the success of the present and future Turkmen-Korean relations in his letter. Li Ok Ren brought forward the proposal to open the cultural and educational center in Ashgabat for learning the Korean language that would promote the Turkmen people to know the history, culture and present-day life of the Korean people.
