The whole world community expresses a keen interest in the radical reforms carried out in the political, economic and social life of the Turkmen people. New initiative of the Turkmen President aimed at further strengthening the principles of humanism and mercy, humanity and justice peculiar to the Turkmen people drew a wide international response.

News Blocks of almost all world news agencies, including BBC, ITAR-TASS informed about the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan on discharging 11 prisoners from further service of sentence.

Quoting the extracts from the document signed by the Head of the Turkmen State the international political observers emphasized that the decision on granting amnesty to the persons who had violated the law and were sentenced to a period from 5 to 22 years' imprisonment was made after considering numerous appeals for pardon the Turkmen people submitted to the State commission on consideration of appeals of citizens on activities of law enforcing agencies at the President of Turkmenistan.

The journalists also noted that during the meeting President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov suggested to grant a step-by-step amnesty during the whole year instead of annual general amnesty announced on the eve of the night of omnipotence sacred for all Mussulmans.

The observers noted that the Turkmen leader emphasized the necessity of providing assistance to dismissed prisoners in getting job and further social adaptation.
