The US Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe arrived on a familiarizing three-day visit in Ashgabat.

Within the framework of the visit Kyle Andrew Parker and Shelly Held Khan met with the heads of State Agency on Hydrocarbon Resources Management and Use, Council on Religion Affairs, Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Justice. The US representatives also visited the Turkmen Parliament and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meetings and negotiations the American guests were acquainted with the priority aspects of the national policy of Turkmenistan including in the educational, healthcare and social spheres. The interlocutors expressed mutual interest in further development of co-operation in humanitarian sphere and discussed the opportunities to strengthen the relations between two countries.

On the third day of the visit the US delegation will go to the Mary Velayat.
