On August 22, within the framework of the visit of the United State Commission on International Religious Freedom to Turkmenistan the American guests were received at the Council for Religious Affairs under President of Turkmenistan

The interlocutors had an active dialogue on the issues related to the guarantees of religious freedom to citizens and establishment of constructive bilateral contacts. The guests were informed that different religions, confessions of faith, whose activity promoted strengthening the unity and cohesion in the Turkmen society, achieving civil concord and stability, peacefully co-existed in Turkmenistan.

On August 22, the U.S. delegation was received at the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Culture and Broadcasting Activities. The guests visited the temples of different religious confessions in Turkmenistan, the National Institute of Manuscripts and the Turghut Ozal Turkmen-Turkish School.
