Intergovernmental talks in Abu Dhabi

On August 27, within the framework of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov’s official visit to the United Arab Emirates the members of the Turkmen governmental delegation held the bilateral consultations in the context of the agreements achieved at the summit talks between the leaders of Turkmenistan and the UAE.

Vice Premier of Turkmenistan T. Tagiev had a meeting with UAE Minister of Energy Mohammed Ben Dhaen Al-Hamili. The interlocutors exchanged views on the proposals of the International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) had expressed its readiness to implement the large-scale project on construction of the second turn of a carbamide plant in Tejen. The UAE businessmen attached great importance to the project that was to be ‘the first signs’ of mutually advantageous co-operation in chemical industry.

Minister of Agriculture of Turkmenistan E. Orazgeldiev and Turkmen high-ranking officials had the meetings with the Arab colleagues to study thoroughly the UAE achievements in agricultural production. The Turkmen specialists visited the large-scale enterprises and grain elevators and studied the grain production, processing and storage techniques on the spot. The UAE and Turkmen specialists exchanged views on other important issues of co-operation in agriculture.
