The farewell ceremony for 76 Turkmen students was held at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University. In accordance with the intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements and Resolution of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov the young people will study at the prestige higher educational establishments in Russia.
The cabinet ministers, the members of the Russian delegation headed by RF Deputy Prime Minister S. Naryshkin, RF Ambassador to Turkmenistan I. Blatov, the leaders of the Turkmen public organisations, journalists, the elders and teachers and students of the institutions of higher education participated in the action initiated by the Ministry of Education and the national oil and gas industry departments.
Those speaking at the ceremony noted that the Turkmen students would study at five prestige technical educational establishments that trained the specialists for the fuel and energy enterprises including I. M. Gubkin State University of Oil and Gas (Moscow), the Ufa State Oil Technical University, the Tomsk Oil and Gas University and the Almetyev Oil Institute. This group of the Turkmen students is a part of the Turkmen boys and girls, who have entered the prestige educational establishments in Europe, Asia and America in 2007.
Co-Chairmen of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian commission for economical co-operation R. Meredov and S. Naryshkin congratulated the students on the remarkable event in their lives and wished them successful studies. Those peaking at the ceremony noted that the event symbolized a new stage in Turkmen-Russian co-operation remarkable for the mutual endeavours to specify and intensify bilateral relations.
The representatives of the host educational institutions and Russia’s oil and gas business circles assured the high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the students’ parents that all necessary conditions had been already created for the Turkmen students. |
