On the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov the members of the Turkmen delegation, who had accompanied the Turkmen leader on the official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan, visited the Jilikul District in the Khatlon Province where one of the Turkmen diasporas resided.

Chairperson of the Khalton Province T. Abzal greeted the honorary Turkmen guests. Our compatriots and rightful citizens of the neighbouring country extended the heartfelt and cordial welcome to the envoys from the historical homeland.

During the meetings with the representatives of the Turkmen diaspora and local people the guests from Turkmenistan told about the outcomes of the President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov’ visit to friendly Tajikistan, the vast opportunities of co-operation provided by the bilateral agreements.

Briefing on the present day of independent neutral Turkmenistan the members of the Turkmen delegation talked with enthusiasm about the large-scale reforms and national development programmes initiated by the Turkmen leader to develop and improve the spheres of education and healthcare, science and culture, further economic growth and national development in whole.

On behalf of the Turkmen leader the members of the Turkmen delegation presented the memorable gifts and books to the representatives of the Turkmen diaspora.
