A group of the specialists of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan who spend two weeks in Great Britain and Finland got acquainted with the experience of the local educational establishments.

The trip was organised by the UN Children’s Fund in collaboration with the UK Embassy to Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of Finland and the European Union.

The Turkmen educational specialists visited the Finnish Education Evaluation Council, the Ministry of Education, the preschool, high and higher educational establishments in Finland, the Office for Standards in Education, the London Centre for Leadership in Learning, the Learning and Skills Development Agency, the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and the Vocational Training Center in Great Britain, at which they got acquainted with the progressive approaches to the integrated national educational policy and modern teaching methodology. The interactive technologies were of particular interest to the Turkmen educational specialists.

The UNICEF experts noted that the UN Children’s Fund provided assistance to ensure Turkmen youth their right to a high-quality education through collaborating with the international agencies and diplomatic missions in particular. The Turkmen educational specialists’ trip to Finland and Great Britain testifies to UNICEF’s support of the educational reforms initiated in Turkmenistan by the national leader.
