
Millions of viewers in different parts of the world will see a new documentary film about the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people and the present day of Turkmenistan
A group of the Japanese cinematographers of the TBS Tokyo Broadcasting Company who took part in the International Scientific Museum Conference in Ashgabat made the documentary film by the request of UNESCO.
The aim of the film is to present the unique monuments of Ancient Merv inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1999 and the priceless artefacts discovered by the archeologists during the excavations in the country of Margush to the TV audience worldwide. Together with the participants of the conference the Japanese cinematographers visited the national museums in Ashgabat, the ancient site of Gonur depe, the Mary Velayat Museum and filmed the Parthian fortress of Nisa inscribed on the World Heritage List as a monument of universal value this year. Undoubtedly, the camera captured not only the museum rarities but also the carefully preserved national traditions and customs. The film will include the episodes about the forum on museum development.
Turkmenistan is a homeland to the ancient civilizations that made a profound contribution to development of world culture, a country in which the spiritual revival of the nation is regarded as of paramount importance will appear before the TV audience of many millions.
According to the Secretariat of the National Commission for UNESCO Affairs the new documentary film will be released in the six languages of the United Nations. After the film is presented in Ashgabat it will be distributed through the largest international organisation in the countries worldwide
