The President’s greeting address to the participants of the International Printing Industry Exhibition and the Publishing Industry Conference timed to the 16th anniversary of Turkmenistan independence says “During the years of independence the remarkable success has been achieved in the national printing industry – a leading sector of national economy, it has been brought up to a higher level. We take a pride in the achievements of the publishing industry as well as other sectors of national economy.”

The address emphasizes “I give the specialists publishing textbooks, educational supplies, fiction, newspapers and journals as well as republishing and colourfully illustrating the ancient manuscripts prepared for publication by the Miras Turkmen National Center of Cultural Heritage the same status as the teachers educating and bringing up a younger generation that is the people who make good deeds. It is impossible to build a strong state without developing national culture and education. We will be able to raise national economy and to bring it up to the level of the highly developed countries only by training a well-educated, spiritually rich, firm of purpose mature generation able to think reasonably and devoted to the native land. You are to play a crucial role in achieving this goal. We consider the luxuriously illustrated text books and the well-designed works rich in content able to stiffen the people’s spirit and good mood the nation’s spiritual wealth. You sacred duty is to constantly replenish this treasure and meet the demand for printed publications.”
