The international scientific conference dedicated to the life and creative activity of a prominent Sufi sheikh, theologist, poet and scholar Abu Sagyt Fazlallah bin Abulhayir Ahmet - Mene-baba will be held in Ashgabat and the Ahal Velayat on November 13-15.
The Abu Sagyt Abulhayir – a Prominent Oriental Scholar Conference focuses on the creative activity of the Turkmen outstanding person, who left a bright trace in the spiritual oriental culture. The President of Turkmenistan entrusted the Miras National Center of Cultural Heritage, the Ministry of Culture and Broadcasting Activities of Turkmenistan and Ahal Velayat Khyakimlik to arrange the forum.
The conference is of great interest to Turkmen scientists and their foreign colleagues. The cultural workers from 18 countries worldwide will take part in the conference. The Turkmen scientists submitted over 150 reports and their foreign specialists - over 50 reports to the organizing committee.
The participants will study the poet’s creative work, the place of his heritage in the history of world culture and influence on the spiritual revival of the oriental countries. The participants will focus on the problems of the sources of Mene baba’s creative work and analyze the poetical style of his rubaiyats.
The participants will visit the native land of Abu Sagyt Abulhayir in Khaveran (present day Kaahkha Etrap and Altyn Etrap), the cultural landmark and the resaved area honoured by the local people, where the Abu Sagyt Mausoleum is located.
The collected poems including over 700 Abu Sagyt Abuhayir’s rubaiyats by prepared for publication in the Turkmen language by the specialists of the Miras National Center of Cultural Heritage in collaboration with the National Institute of Manuscripts will be a wonderful gift for the people of Turkmenistan and the participants of the conference.
