Culture & Heritage : Ashgabat welcomes a popular Russian singer

On November 20, a popular Russian singer, People’s Artist of the USSR Joseph Kobzon arrived in Ashgabat with his jubilee concert tour to the Central Asian countries. The famous singer had been performing on the six-month tour devoted to two remarkable dates - the 70th jubilee and the 50th anniversary of creative activity, in many countries of the world. J. Kobzon last visited the Turkmen capital ten yeas ago and therefore this year’s visit has been marked with another anniversary.

The programme of the charity concert includes the musical compositions of different genres and trends - from the old romances and classic arias to the patriotic songs - devotions to the succession of generations. The Song And Dance Ensemble of the RF Ministry of Internal Affairs will accompany the performance.

Joseph Kobzon is loved by many generations of the Soviet people and each meeting with him is a wonderful present for numerous admirers of his outstanding talent in Turkmenistan.
