This week a delegation of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) led by Vice President Dr. Amadou Boubacar Cisse visited Ashgabat.

During the visit to the Turkmen capital the guests were received at the government of Turkmenistan, the national ministries and departments including the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, the Central Bank and the State Bank of Foreign Economic Activity.

During the meetings and talks the sides expressed satisfaction at the current level of partnership, exchanged views on the possible ways of expanding mutually advantageous co-operation in financing the social and economic development projects and programmes. Expressing interest in expanding and strengthening traditional partnership the Islamic Development Bank reaffirmed its readiness to collaborate in the projects implemented in the spheres of healthcare, education, road construction, etc.
