The regional seminar “Leadership, Ethics, Reporting and Professionalism in the Public Services” organised by the government of Turkmenistan, the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the UN Development Programme started in Ashgabat.

The high-ranking officials of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, the UN experts and specialists take part in seminar.

During two days the participants will discuss a broad range of the issues related to the role of the state in creating market environment and civil society, its participation in development planning and management processes and will consider the methods of reforming the public services to achieve economic growth and management improvement.
