Next year is marked for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of outstanding Turkmen composer Nury Halmamedov whose works have profound influence on development of the national music art of Turkmenistan. The cycle of arrangements dedicated to the remarkable date annually celebrated in February started from the Nury Halmamedov commemoration meeting held at the Turkmen National Conservatoire.

National Artist of Turkmenistan Orazgul Annamuradova, one of the first artists who performed the works by N.Halmamedov and the first Turkmen pianist, at present the teacher of the Conservatoire, organised and held the concert that brought together the family, friends and students of Nury Halmamedov.

National artist of Turkmenistan, composer and Nury Halmamedov’s close friend Amandurdy Agajikov, Orazgul Annamuradova and one of the composer’s successors Meret Annamuradov expressed warm cordial words in memory of the famous Turkmen composer.

Nury Halmamedov’s heritage includes the rich genre diversity of the compositions. The concert devoted to the chamber compositions created by Nury Halmamedov was opened by the Sounds of dutar piece performed by graduator of the secondary musical boarding school under the Turkmen National Conservatoire young talented pianist Ashir Ashirov. Nury Halmamedov composed the piece when he was 22 and dedicated it to Turkmen bagshi Mylly Tachmuradov.

Halmamedov’s style, his peculiar melodies are recognized from the first sounds of his compositions. But the matter concerns the genius whose creativity is beyond the traditional canons. Moreover, in all times and among all peoples the society owes geniuses a debt of gratitude for their originality and bright trace left for the following generations.

N.Saryeva, G.Nuryeva, G.Baltaeva and A.Berdiev performed the compositions of the outstanding composer at the concert.

The music-lovers paid tribute to the Nury Halmamedov’ outstanding talent and his selfless service to the music and thanked the musicians with a storm of applause.

Nury Halmamedov died when he was 43. But during the short course of life filled with work the composer presented the unusual beautiful music to the people. Nury Halmamedov said: “Let my music talk for me.” And it talks…
