The Place of Ancient Nisa in World Culture international scientific conference closed in Turkmenistan. The participants of the forum initiated by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov considered the actual issues of preserving the unique monument inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The priority tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan at the new stage of development include improvement of the national science, revival of the national history and popularization of the Turkmen people’s spiritual and cultural heritage were discussed at the scientific forum that brought together the scientists, archeologists, historians and art critics from Armenia, Afghanistan, Germany, Holland, India, Jordan, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, the USA, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Japan.
The participants presented over 120 reports dedicated to the study and preservation of the world cultural monuments, expansion of the international scientific contacts and the place of Nisa in world culture as well as the outstanding scholars, scientists and poets of ancient Parthia.
The participants of the conference noted that Turkmenistan had gained wide experience of co-operation with the UNESCO intergovernmental organisation. Summing up the at the solemn ceremony of closing the participants emphasized that the forum had consolidated the status of Turkmenistan as a generally recognized world scientific center and promoted the further development of international co-operation in the sphere of study and preservation of the historical and cultural monuments of Turkmenistan.
Upon concluding the conference a reception was given on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan in honour of the participants of the international conference.
Within the framework of the cultural program of the forum the foreign guests got acquainted with the unique expositions of the Turkmen museums and saw the sights of the Turkmen capital. |
