President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov had a telephone conversation with President of Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon.

Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov and Emomali Rakhmon exchanged the greetings and discussed the current condition and future trends of the bilateral relations expressing satisfaction at the progress of the agreements reached during the Tajik leader’s official visit to Turkmenistan. The interlocutors focused on the agreements on deliveries of Turkmen electric power to Tajikistan noting that the energy bridge between the two countries worked in compliance with the bilateral agreement.

In this regard expressing gratitude to the Turkmen partners Emomali Rakhmon made a request for increasing exports of Turkmen electric power to Tajikistan due the abnormal frosts this year.

Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov said that Turkmenistan would increase exports of electric power to the fraternal country basing on the current opportunities and operating conditions of the power transmission lines.

Upon concluding the conversation Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov and Emomali Rakhmon exchanged the wishes of peace, happiness and prosperity to the peoples of the friendly countries.
