23-year old fullback of MTTU team and the national team of Turkmenistan Begli Annageldiev is the best football player of the year 2007. According to the survey conducted by the Football Association of Turkmenistan among the sports journalists, coaches and specialists he gained 35 points that is 11 points more than Berdy Shamuradov, who kicked 16 goals, gained last year. Parahat Annaberdiev, the Ashgabat FC fullback gained 23 points and ranked the third.

The laureates of the year 2007 were defined among the football players, who played at least 50 % in the matches of the national championships and the Cup of Turkmenistan.

Begli Annageldyev is recognized as the best footballer for the first time. Last season he was the only one to play in four official and two friendly matches held by the national team and became the vice-champion of Turkmenistan as a MTTU fullback.

Nikita Gorbunov (Shagadam FC) was recognized as the best goalkeeper, Begli Annageldyev (MTTU) – the best fullback, Guvanch Abylov (Ashgabat FC) – the best halfback and Berdy Shamuradov (MTTU) – the best forward.

The Nebitchi Stadium in Balkanabat won the prize as the most visited stadium. Last year 59,700 football fans visited the Nebitchi Stadium to watch the national championship matches. The Merv Stadium is the best to organize and host the championship and Cup matches, the Turkmenistan champion Ashgabat FC is the most disciplined team.
