President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Siemens Executive Vice-President Mr. Rudi Lamprecht, who had arrived to the Turkmen capital as a member of the representative delegation of the FRG businessmen.

Thanking for the opportunity of a personal meeting the guest emphasized that his colleagues - the participants of the Turkmen-German economic and energy forums in Ashgabat were impressed with the scale of the reforms implemented in the country and the opportunities provided for mutually advantageous co-operation.

Greeting the top representative of the Siemens Company - Turkmenistan’s long-term and reliable partner Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highly appreciated the level of co-operation with the German company, which had collaborated in the number of the large-scale projects in healthcare, communications and other spheres.

The interlocutors summed up the bilateral co-operation and discussed the future trends of the joint activity basing on the priorities of Turkmenistan’s social and economic development and the Siemens’ intention to expand on very promising Turkmen market.

In particular, the opportunities of the company’s collaboration in the national programmes on development of the fuel and energy sector and establishment of modern transport and communication infrastructure were considered. Mr. Rudi Lamprecht emphasized that the favourable conditions for investment activity that stood as a powerful incentive to intensify bilateral effective co-operation had been created in Turkmenistan.

Upon concluding the meeting the guest assured the President of Turkmenistan that the Siemens Company would spare no efforts to intensify Turkmen-German partnership that had every requisite to be brought up to a higher level.
