President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates Mr. Hasan Abdullah Al-Adab.

Thanking for the opportunity of a personal meeting the plenipotentiary representative of the friendly country conveyed the invitation to pay a visit to the United Arab Emirates on behalf of UAE President Sheikh Halifa bin Zayed Al Nahayan and the heartfelt greetings on behalf of Vice President, Prime Ministers and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Mahtoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates Lieutenant General Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Nahayan.

Accepting the invitation with gratification Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed the best wishes of peace, happiness and welfare to the Government and the people of the United Arab Emirates.

Taking an opportunity the diplomat congratulated the Turkmen leader on success of the official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan and conferment of the degree of Honoured Doctor of the Baku State University emphasizing that this fact evidenced the international recognition of the Turkmen leader’s policy of reforms and his profound personal contribution to development of science and education.

Exchanging views on the current condition and future trends of the intergovernmental dialogue the sides stated with gratification the high level and the dynamics of development of the bilateral relations that were promoted by the meetings between the leaders of the two friendly countries. The President and his guest considered the progress of the agreements with due regard to the priorities of national development emphasizing that the determining factors of successful long-term co-operation included mutual understanding, confidence and respect.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited the businessmen of the United Arab Emirates to collaborate in the large-scale national and regional projects implemented in Turkmenistan, in particular the Avaza National Project on the Caspian Sea coast.

Focusing on the Arab companies’ increased interest in operating on the very promising Turkmen market the diplomat said that the UAE considered with interest any opportunity of collaborating in new projects aimed at realizing the profound potential of mutually advantageous co-operation in full.

The sides were unanimous that the keen reciprocal interest in maintaining effective co-operation evidenced the friendly countries’ endeavours to further enhance the traditional ties of friendship and fraternity.
