Turkmenistan celebrates Textile Industry Day each first Sunday of June. On this day the International Exhibition aimed at demonstrating the impressive achievements of the youngest and dynamically developed sector of Turkmen economy and attracting the world’s leading textile equipment producers and the large foreign companies in collaborating in the large-scale projects will be opened at the largest in Central Asian region Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat. Over 60 firms from 20 countries worldwide are expected to participate in the forum.

Next generation textile machines and equipment, apparel, knitted, jeans and leather goods, domestically made textile fabric and many other products will be presented at the exposition. The largest textile enterprises of Turkmenistan will demonstrate their products and potential.

The programme includes the shows of the fashion collections designed by the Fashion House of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, the Gulzaman salon, the Fashion House of Slava Zaitzev (Russia), Oleksander Gapchug (Ukraine) and Akhmed Nabeli (Pakistan).

The international economic forum will be held in the framework of the International Exhibition on June 2. The representative forum will bring together the well-known scientists – the leading Turkmen and foreign specialists, who will make presentations of the textile projects.

The participants of the exhibition and forum are united with the intense interest in the projects on development of Turkmen textile industry. Within the short period Turkmenistan managed to establish the sectoral infrastructure including the network of the cotton-spinning, weaving and sewing enterprises that manufacture the products of steadily high demand on the world market.
