The priority issues related to progress of the important national programmes and projects were considered at a regular sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers chaired by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Opening the sitting the Turkmen leader noted that the thorough analysis data and facts presented at the expanded government sitting testified to the high rates of social and economic development. Though, the necessity of intensifying the activity in the particular fields, in which the backlog of work and faults had been revealed, was obvious, the President said. In this regard the President demanded that Vice Premier N. Shaguliev should take the immediate measures to remedy the serious defects revealed in the sphere of transport and construction industry. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pointed out the unreasonable delay in drafting the resolution on mortgage lending that hampered the progress of the programme of providing the benefits for buying houses to citizens of Turkmenistan to Vice Premier H. Geldimyradov. The President demanded that Vice Premier T. Tagiev should take the measures to promote the projects on construction of the facilities producing mineral fertilizers
Vice Premier M. Yazmuhammedova reported on the business trip to France and informed that in Paris the Turkmen delegation had held a series of the meetings and talks on expansion of bilateral cultural co-operation. In particular, the specialists of the world’s cultural treasury – Louvre had informed of the willingness to enhance partnership with Turkmenistan. Vice Premier H. Saparliev reported that the institutions of higher education in the country had completed to receive the documents from entrants and started to prepare for conducting the entrance examinations. The President emphasized that the examinations should reveal the most talented and worthy entrants by honest, uncompromising competition.
Vice Premier, Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov reported on the progress of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy strategy.
H. Muhammedov reported on the fulfillment of the President’s instructions.
Upon concluding the sitting Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on the tasks set to agricultural sector and water industry noting that these sectors needed the serious, competent supervision. The President appointed M. Akmammedov Vice Premier responsible for supervising agro-industrial complex and the Ministry of Waster Industry and wished him success.
Other issues of the current national policy were considered at the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
