President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the FRG Hans Mondorf, who was completing his diplomatic mission to Turkmenistan. Greeting the guest the Turkmen leader stated with satisfaction the high level of intergovernmental partnership established in recent years and successfully developed in the bilateral format as well as in the framework of the dialogue with the European Union. Highly appreciating the diplomat’s contribution to strengthening the Turkmen-German relations Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that that the relations of friendship and mutual confidence between the two friendly nations had promoted successful completion of a number of the joint projects enabling to accumulate the profound positive experience of co-operation in many important spheres including fuel and energy sector, healthcare, education, communication, culture. The sides were unanimous that the notably intensified exchange of visits at various levels and the regular bilateral consultations in the framework of the Turkmen-German economic forums had played a crucial role in this process. Thanking the Turkmen President for the businesslike and exceptionally constructive approach to co-operation with Germany the FRG Ambassador focused on his country’s intense interest in building the reliable bridges with Turkmenistan that played the key role in the geopolitical environment in Central Asia. The diplomat emphasized that the European Union was impressed by the large-scale reforms initiated in Turkmenistan and the Turkmen leader’s policy based on the principles of peaceableness, good neighbourliness and wide international co-operation. Upon concluding the meeting Ambassador Hans Mondorf cordially thanked Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the overall support and assistance that had made his mission aimed at enhancing and expanding Turkmen-German co-operation quite successful. Sharing his impressions of Ashgabat where he had worked for five years the plenipotentiary representative of the Federal Republic of Germany expressed sincere admiration at the grandiose accomplishments of the epoch of independence that had been fostered under the leadership of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In his interview Hans Mondorf said that he had the good fortune to live and work in the Turkmenistan in the period of the important reforms and Turkmenistan would leave the warmest and kindest recollections as it had become a part of his life. The German diplomat expressed the best wishes to the President and people of Turkmenistan. |
