Sport & Tourism : Three tournaments – two finals
 
Three tournaments – two finalsA sportsman from Ashgabat Igor Barzasekov took part in three junior tennis tournaments in the Khostin Rayon in Sochi and Adler, Russia. In two of these tournaments he progressed to the finals and replenished the treasure of Turkmenistan’s sports achievements with the gold and silver medals.

Three tournaments – two finalsIgor won the gold medal in the tournaments for the prizes of the Matchball Tennis Club in the Khostin Rayon. Starting the way to the victory from the 1/8 final Igor defeated all his rivals. In the final Igor defeated 4:1, 4:2 Kirill Tkachev from Astrakhan.

In the tournament in Adler held the under the aegis of the HEAD Company producing tennis equipment 10-year-old Barzasekov was qualified to the final group consisting of 16 sportsmen, who competed for a position among eight best tennis-players. Ivan Petrunin from Sochi defeated our tennis-player in the final.

In accordance with the tournament rules the sportsmen, who had lost the matches, competed for the 9th place. Barzasekov won four matches and ranked among ten best tennis-players.

In the tournament for the prizes of the BABOLAT firm Barzasekov defeated Andrey Molyak from Omsk in the semifinal. In the final David Norakidze from Sochi defeated our sportsmen.

Igor Barzasekov was the first Turkmen sportsman, who participated in the tournaments of such kind, and the only ‘guest’ of all three competitions, who took the leading positions from the very beginning. Honoured Coach of Russia V. Gusev watched Igor playing and predicted his successful career in sports.

At present Igor is trained by Honoured Coach of Turkmenistan Nelli Voinich. He regularly participates in various competitions abroad. He will take part in three international tournaments in Tashkent this August. This autumn Igor will start the trainings to represent Turkmenistan in a worthy manner at the prestigious international competitions and win the first prizes.
