A year has passed since the projects on development of the national tourism zone were presented in the littoral city of Turkmenbashi and the seashore turned into a vast construction site of dozens of the objects. Avaza changes with every passing month and every passing day attracting more foreign companies willing to collaborate in the large-scale project.

This interest is clear: the nature created Avaza to be a world-class resort. The Government creates the necessary conditions for doing successful business there. The special Resolution of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov guarantees the most-favoured nation treatment to foreign investors. Nowadays, the Avaza national tourism zone is a large-scale economic project, the polygon for applying advanced economic technologies.

One can feel the brisk rhythm of the construction works at once: the site is fenced, the lifting arms are towered everywhere, bulldozers and excavators are heard to roar, the buildings of elite hotels and sanatoriums are acquiring the look as designed by the architects.

The high-rise building of the hotel constructed by the Sehil Company is the tallest building in Avaza for today. The building is being dressed in white marble and decorated with tinted glasses.

The 12-storey towers of the hotels are constructed nearby at the request of the Central Bank, the Turkmenneftegasstroy State Concern and other departments. The children’s health-improving will appear on the Avaza seaside: the building owners are the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries and the National Trade Union Centre. The construction of the comfortable camps offering the necessary conditions to young citizens of Turkmenistan is entering the active stage.

The construction of the projects financed by the foreign companies is in full swing. Some of them will receive the first visitors next summer. The walls of the cottages in the elite recreation complex with a yacht club have been erected by the Turkish builders of the Polimeks Company. The Sehil builders have prepared the foundation for the future entertainment centre. Turkmenistan’s long-term partner – the Itera Company is mounting the piles of the high-rise building of the future sanatorium. Ichkale, Engin Group, Bouygues and other companies implements the investment projects in Avaza.

Along with the favourable legal environment the modern tourist and public-service infrastructure that the Government heavily invested in contribute to attracting investments in the truism zone. The large-scale project in Avaza is the 7-km artificial river with running sea water constructed by Ichkale and Polimeks. The chain of the lakes with the beautiful beaches will be laid along the river.

The transport infrastructure is rapidly developed. The network of the first and second-category highways and roads of the will cover the tourism zone. The project on construction of the first motorway that will run along the sea coast has been started. The gas-turbine power station and high-power desalination unit will be built there. Within the next two years the water supply and sewerage systems will be reconstructed. There will be the green zones, entertainment and recreation parks, sports facilities in Avaza. Upon seeing the scale of the construction works in Avaza one can realize that the projects, which can seem fantastic at first sight, will be implemented there.
