Having taken a running start the Festival whirling is revving up: meetings and concerts, travels and excursions, art classes, contests and sports competitions and during the hours of rest – a swimming pool saving from the summer heat and enclosing the children burnt from the southern sun and the flow of impressions in its cool, refreshing embrace.

For the children the sixth day began with a journey from Geokdere to the World of Turkmen Fairy Tales. Many of the children were astounded with the grandiosity of the children’s amusement park where the young artists – soloists, musicians and dancers of the Ashgabat Children’s and Youth Centre greeted them with the special festive programme.
Then the children got acquainted with the rides and thematic sectors of the park. Two hours of infinite happiness and breathtaking sensations. The children hurried to climb the Survey Tower on the Mountain of Fairy Tales providing a panoramic view of Ashgabat, and the water shows attracted irresistibly. This park is one of the few places where children are free to express their emotions like crazy as much as they want. The air as if rang with the children’s hubbub, rapturous exclamations in different languages and laughter, thrill seekers taking the tests of speed and height added the tumultous emotions to this palette.
Looking at the children throwing themselves in such ‘extreme’ pleasures their tutors and heads of the delegations began to worry that the young artists would get tired and forget everything they had diligently rehearsed for the evening performance – though they shouldn’t!

In the evening the Festival participants from Russia met with the people and guests of the Turkmen capital. The Miras dancing and singing group from Tatarstan and the Vesnushki folk choreographic ensemble of the Mitino Cultural Centre from Moscow – in the perfect artistic form – performed on the stage of the Magtymguly Turkmen National Music and Drama Theatre.
Each of these groups has the unique artistic image and style but they are united with love for dance and music, careful attitude towards the traditions of the national choreographic schools, aspiration, despite the early age, for masterly performance, outstanding acting technique and stage impersonation. And the audience appreciated all of that rewarding the talented children with the storm of applause.

The Festival marathon is drawing to a close. In a few days the gala concert that promises to be on a grandiose scale true to the status of the Capital of Childhood as our young guests nicknamed Ashgabat will invite all the participants of the Festival and its numerous guests and spectators.
