Culture & Heritage : Celebrations in honour of Indian friends
 
Celebrations in honour of Indian friends A concert was performed on the stage of Alp Arslan Turkmen National Youth Centre on occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of India –Independence Day. The programme of the musical evening organized by the Embassy of the India in Ashgabat and the Ministry of Culture and TV and Radio Broadcasting of Turkmenistan included Indian dances and songs, the popularity of which stepped over the borders of the country a long time ago.

Celebrations in honour of Indian friends Before the beginning of the concert a documentary film about the most spectacular and brightest rite of the Indian people – national wedding was demonstrated to the audience. Then the colourful show was presented on the stage of the Alp Arslan Theatre. The Turkmen singers performed the songs from the popular Indian films. With enthusiasm the spectators welcomed the Jasmine dancing group, who performed the classical, ritual and modern Indian dances.

A special exposition of the books published in Hindi, paintings, national jewelry and souvenirs was arranged in the foyer in the framework of the cultural action
