On August 27-29 the town of Turkmenbashi will host the International Scientific Conference Epoch of New Revival and the Ancient History of Dehistan.
The participants of the scientific forum are arriving to Ashgabat. The forum organized under the aegis of the Miras Turkmen National Centre of Cultural Heritage is aimed at presenting the work on study and preservation of the cultural and historical monuments in Turkmenistan during the years of independence, uncovering the role and significance of Dehistan – the outpost of the State of Kunya Urgench Turkmen, the centre of highly developed civilization of IX-XIII centuries to the world scientific community. The conference will draw the specialists’ attention to the fundamental research and preservation of the monuments of Mashat-Misrian.
The scientists from about 20 countries worldwide including Italy, Germany, Poland, Russia, Iran, China, Pakistan, India, Korea will participate in the conference.
Before arriving to the littoral town our guests will visit the Turkmen Carpet Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts in Ashgabat. The opening ceremony will be held in the conference hall of the Cultural Centre of the Turkmenbashi oil refineries on August 27. Upon concluding the plenary meeting the work will be continued in the sections – Studying the historical and cultural heritage of Turkmenistan in the epoch of New Revival, Dehistan – an ancient scientific and cultural centre in Turkmenistan, Dehistan in the ancient and medieval sources and Archietctural art of Dehistan. The Turkmen and foreign scientists will present about 120 reports on various aspects of these topics. The participants will make an excursion to the monuments of Mashat-Misrian. International co-operation in the sphere of culture, science and education is a main item of the 2008 agenda. A number of the large-scale scientific and cultural forums held in Turkmenistan since the beginning of the current yeas have initiated a new stage in the development of our country’s humanitarian ties. This development is remarkable for the new content and active search for the points of contacts and mutual interest. Turkmenistan’s intensified partnership with different countries worldwide has many dimensions and testifies to, first of all, the awareness of the common aims and prospects and readiness for an open and sincere dialogue to maintain the values common to all mankind. The current representative forum will initiate another trend in the interested dialogue of Turkmen historians and culture experts with colleagues from all over the world. |
