A fancy-dress performance Moments of an Eternity presented on the stage of Magtymguly Turkmen National Music and Drama Theatre turned into the bright festivities. The cultural action was organized by the Ministry of Culture and TV and Radio Broadcasting Ministry of Turkmenistan and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan.

The programme of the concert dedicated to Independence Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan included the performances of the artists of Samarkand theatre of historical costume. The audience received a splendid opportunity to enjoy the traditional national costumes of the peoples of Central Asian and different historical epochs. Being formed over centuries the costumes absorbed the traits of everyday life and mentality of the peoples, their spiritual culture.

The storm of applause was an award to the talented artists who had presented the spectacular show to the people and guests of Ashgabat.

Speaking at the opening ceremony Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan A. Kadyrov said that the peoples of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were bound with the historical kinship and common spiritual traditions, the relations of friendship and fraternity standing nowadays as a powerful incentive to foster the fruitful dialogue. The present concert became another vivid evidence of that.
