A 10-year-old checkers player Azat Bakhramdjanov from Turkmenabat won the silver medal of the World Junior Checkers Championship in Novoyarovsk, Ukraine. 89 young sportsmen under 20 from 10 countries competed in the blitzes on the 64-square board.

In the final our sportsman gained 12 points and ranked the second. Shamil Gayazov from Kazakhstan with 17 points gained the best result the first and Pyotr Tertychnyy (Russia) won the bronze medal.
