At the recent sitting of the State Security Council President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov set the task to the law enforcement agencies to considerably enhance the activities aimed at responding to one of the most serious threats the modern world faced – drug trafficking and abuse. The Turkmen leader set prevention of this social evil that threatened mankind as a top-level priority of the activities of the law enforcement agencies entrusting them with the task to ensure the high effectiveness of the relevant measures.

Today this work has expanded. According to the State Service for Drugs of Turkmenistan the law enforcement agencies had detected and detained a criminal group engaged in illicit drug trafficking. A big bulk of drugs, the large quantity of firearms, money and gold jewelry had been confiscated from the group.

The operation to detain the dealer of white death was a planned operation performed by the officers of the authorized law enforcement agencies. They are on the front line fighting against illicit drug trafficking and averting the modern Turkmen society from the danger. This activity will be maintained in and become merciless. The Turkmen leader emphasized that the Turkmen state would block the way to any encroachments upon the peaceful, constructive life and health of the Turkmen nations.
