Turkmen teachers improve the methodology of teaching Chinese and Japanese languages
Trainings for secondary specialized schoolteachers of Japanese and Chinese languages have been started in Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and Magtumguly Turkmen State University.
The workshops, organized by the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan, are held in high educational institutions where big experience of teaching of these languages and teaching materials are presented. The lessons are conducted by the tutors of above-mentioned universities together with native language specialists from Japan and China.
Japanese and Chinese languages were introduced to the timetables in certain schools of the country from the beginning of the current educational year. This is visual evidence of successful realization of national strategy of multilingual education.
In Azadi Turkmen State National Institute of World Languages, the training is conducted under the guidance of the graduate of the same institute Zeynep Hojakurbanova. While being a student, she had one year practical training in Tsukuba University, Japan, with which Turkmen institute established close partnership under the agreement on cooperation. Qualified assistance to Turkmen teachers is rendered by the specialists of Japanese International Fund – Shozo Kumai and Tatsuhiko Uehara.
The language bearers consult in establishment and improvement of new Japanese textbooks and training guides for schools and high educational institutions. For example, currently the textbooks for 2nd and 6th forms, which specialize in study of the language of the Land of the Rising Sun.
Preparation of Japanese books for 1st and 5th grades was the outcome of successful cooperation of young specialists of TNIWL Zeynep Hojakurbanova and Nurgozel Sheherliyeva with their Japanese colleague Tatsuhiko Uehara.
Zeynep Hojakurbanov, the tutor of Azadi TNIWL highlighted that during the training, the accent was made on improvement of the methods of teaching. 10-days programme of study is built on active use of information technologies.
Similar training course in Chinese language was organized in Magtumguly Turkmen State University. It is held under the guidance of qualified Turkmen lecturers bayramyrat Taganaliyev and Maksat Chariyev as well as Chinese specialist Yan Xin, who work in TSU as a tutor.
36 hours training includes study of interactive methods of teaching, phonetic and lexical peculiarities, hieroglyphs, their history, antonyms and synonyms of Chinese language.
