The International Project Olympiad brought together schoolchildren from 13 countries in the world, including Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Georgia, Iraq, Mongolia, Indonesia and Somalia among others. The contest participants presented over 300 individual and joint works in various areas.
The Turkmen team included high school students from specialized school No. 41 in Turkmenbenat Dovletgeldy Rozymuradov and Murat Gurbanov, who won the gold medals. A student of the State Boarding School for Gifted Children - Rovshen Sapargeldiev won the silver medal. The bronze medal was awarded to the authors of the joint project - Aynur Ishanova and Jeren Halmyradova - senior pupils of Ashgabat specialized school No. 97, and Shageldy Ovezov - a pupil of specialized school No. 41 in Turkmenabat.
According to the head of Turkmenistan team - the teacher of mathematics and informatics of the State Boarding School for Gifted Children Yusupguly Ovezov the major part of the projects developed by the Turkmen team are devoted to innovative developments in the field of software.
