President of Turkmenistan addressed the participants of the International Exhibition of Production Technologies of Import-Substituting Products
''The systematic development of the national economy, the creation of industries based on high technologies and innovations is a priority of Turkmenistan's economic policy. The exhibition is of great importance for the further intensification of work in this direction'', says the President.
''The large-scale reforms are carried out in our country to diversify the economy and establish its multi-vector nature. The programmes on increasing the volumes of production of import-substituting and export-oriented products, within the framework of which the fundamental work is carried out to expand innovative production, were adopted. The implementation of the State Programme for the Establishment of Enterprises for the Production of Various Electronic Equipment in Turkmenistan contributes to the diversification of the economy, optimization of the list of imported goods and increasing the country's export potential. As a result of the active investment policy, hundreds of industrial and socio-cultural facilities and structures are being constructed and put into operation.
''The successful implementation of the programmes of social and economic development opens up wide opportunities for Turkmenistan's continued sustainable progress, the creation of new jobs, the enhancement of the social security and the improvement of the living conditions of the population. In this regard, the partnership on the creation of high-tech enterprises and the establishment of the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products is of particular interest.
''The projects on the fundamental increase of the capacity of the chemical and petrochemical industries based on the efficient and effective use of the country's natural resources, the establishment of the developed building materials industry from domestic raw materials are implemented at present. New production facilities are being created in the textile industry. Due to the use of the advanced technologies for storing and processing agricultural products, it is planned to increase the volumes of their production and supplies to domestic and foreign markets. The implementation of the projects on the development of the spheres of transport and communications, science and education, health, sports and tourism are among the priority areas of cooperation.
''The private sector plays a special role in the state programmes. The various areas of individual entrepreneurship dynamically develop, and its positions in the national economy significantly strengthen due to the government support. The business circles in Turkmenistan are involved in most of the projects implemented in the country with the aim to increase the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products.
''Foreign-economic cooperation of our state is based on the principles of our 'open doors' policy. The country has created all the conditions for the development of trade and economic relations. The participants of the current international exhibition are provided with wide opportunities to discuss the promising projects of mutually beneficial partnership.
''The implementation of large-scale projects determines the interest of our country in strengthening the effective cooperation with the leading foreign companies, participating in the exhibition in Ashgabat, and we welcome their aspiration for collaboration with the aim to widely introduce high technologies into production, the creation of joint ventures.
''I am confident that the current exhibition will promote the introduction of innovative technologies in production, the exchange of experience accumulated in this direction, and the enhancement of international trade and economic cooperation'', said the President of Turkmenistan in his address.
