Heads of state congratulate President of Turkmenistan on International Neutrality Day
After being recognized as a permanently neutral country on December 12, 1995, Turkmenistan has become a guarantor of stability in the region. The fact that the United Nations General Assembly declared December 12 as International Neutrality Day on your initiative is seen as the recognition of Your country’s contribution to maintaining peace and stability both in the region and in the world. Turkey will continue to support the policy of neutrality carried out by You, – the President of the Republic of Turkey Rejep Tayyip Erdogan said in his message.
Strengthening friendly relations with Turkmenistan across the entire spectrum is our country’s priority. Thanks to Your Excellency’s foresight, the policy of neutrality demonstrates the effectiveness of Turkmenistan’s constructive steps towards peace, stability and development in the region, – the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani stated in his message.
The holiday particularly well reflects the Turkmen nation’s aspirations towards living in peace and harmony, while promoting greater stability and security in the region and across the world.
