President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is spending his short summer holidays on the Caspian seashore, made a helicopter flight over the Avaza national tourism zone to see the progress in implementing the projects aimed at developing and beautifying the seaside resort and the construction sites of future resort facilities. It should be noted that the President was a helicopter co-pilot.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to take further consistent measures to develop the seaside resort and turn it into a blooming oasis with modern tourism, resort, transport, communications and technological infrastructure meeting the highest international standards. In this regard the Turkmen leader focused on landscape gardening, noting that the aesthetic component played a key role in developing resort infrastructure.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that green areas together with healthful maritime climate would contribute to creating the favourable conditions for recreation and promotion of health of Turkmen citizens and foreign guests of Avaza. Emphasizing that every new facility built in Avaza should harmoniously combine with the architectural ensemble of the seaside resort and blend well with the picturesque natural landscape of the Caspian seashore, the President gave specific instructions to the high-ranking officials in this regard.
After the helicopter landed, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a brief meeting with the Vice Premiers to discuss the results of the trip and specify the tasks to be fulfilled. During the meeting the Vice Premiers reported on the measures taken to develop the Avaza national tourism zone and the fulfilment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions and presented the draft designs of new facilities to be built in the seaside resort to the President for consideration.
The Turkmen leader focused on the importance of an efficient use of the territory of the Avaza national tourism zone, noting the need to take a responsible approach to develop and improve the aesthetic appearance of the seaside resort.
