Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan discuss the upcoming visit of President of Kazakhstan to Ashgabat
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, on May 3, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a telephone with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan paid special attention to preparations for the upcoming official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan in 2021.
In particular, the parties discussed the preparatory work for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation, which is scheduled to be held on the eve of the visit.
The parties also touched upon the issues of holding the VI Caspian Summit in Turkmenistan this year.
At the end of last month, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during a telephone conversation, invited his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to visit Turkmenistan at any time convenient for him. The invitation was accepted with gratitude, the dates of the visit will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
