The edition of the XIII volume of the book «Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan» which presentation has taken place today in the conference hall of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry became a remarkable gift of the leader of the nation to Turkmen physicians for their professional holiday, all our people and world scientific community.
The encyclopaedic work of the President of Turkmenistan, the academician of the Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is designated for a wide range of readers, the interested in the rich flora of our country and ancient traditions of national medicine.
Heads and leading experts of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, its profile establishments, representatives of other ministries and sectoral departments, public organisations, the mass media and the student youth took part in the solemn ceremony of presentation of the new edition.
Speakers underlined the special importance of the new volume, which is the continuation of the fundamental scientific work, over which the leader of the nation started to work in 2009.
In the basis of this large scale, scientific research the best experience transferred from generation to generation, experience of treatment of both outstanding scientists-founders of medicine of the East and the Turkmen doctors-healers constantly referring to «natural drugstore».
On the book’s pages, it is possible to find the detailed description of curative properties of herbs, including endemics, possibilities of their use in scientific and national medicine. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has devoted to their deep study many years of his life.
Participants of the presentation underlined that the unique encyclopaedia is a real treasure of knowledge of curative properties of plants growing in the Turkmen land and used throughout centuries for efficient treatment of various illnesses.
With the academic accuracy, the head of the state acquaints readers with the cultivated and wild plants. Under the uniform scheme their photos, description, biological features, distribution area, natural stocks, medicinal raw materials, chemical compound, ways of preparation and use is provided.
Representing the original encyclopaedia of the Turkmen flora, the book «Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan» became for these years the invaluable guide on herbal medicine not only for domestic pharmacologists and physicians, but also for the foreign experts having possibility to familiarise with it thanks to its translation into many languages.
The next volume of the scientific work of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, like the previous ones, was published in mass print run. A wonderful addition to the contents are colourful photos of picturesque corners of our country, the Russian-Latin-Turkmen dictionary of names of plants and calendar of gathering of medicinal raw materials.
The presented short review on development and reached successes of domestic public health services during the prosperous epoch of the powerful state testifies to the large scale of grandiose transformations occurring in the system of health protection within the limits of the Government program «Saglyk» developed and realised under the wise leadership of the head of the nation.
Participants of the celebration prepared the Message to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in which they expressed their deep gratitude for the huge attention given to health protection of Turkmen nationals and for the created conditions for their happy and peaceful life.
