"Altyn Asyr" and "Ashgabat" will play in the final Cup of Ashgabat on football. This became known following the results of a two-round tournament in which four teams fought for the honorary trophy.

Recall that the first finalist of the tournament - "Altyn Asyr" - was determined ahead of schedule, two rounds before the end of the first stage of the competition. But the second finalist became known only by the results of the matches of the last round.

Before the final round, Kopetdag and Ashgabat, which was 3 points behind it, claimed for the second ticket to the final. It is clear that in such a situation, the team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan had the preferable chances to get into the final. For this, it was enough for the Kopetdag team not to lose to Altyn Asyr. However, this did not happen. The fate of the meeting in favor of the current champion of Turkmenistan was decided by the only goal scored in the 76th minute by Guychmurad Annakuliev.

Ashgabat took full advantage of Kopetdag's misfire, beating the Akhal-2 team 3-0 thanks to goals by Merdan Kurbanov (34th minute from the penalty spot), Merdan Mukhadov (38th) and Shatlyk Kurbanov (57th).

After this victory, "Ashgabat" caught up with "Kopetdag" on points, but due to the best result in personal meetings, pushed the team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan to the third line of the tournament table.

Thus, in the match for the 3rd place, "Kopetdag" will play with the youth team of "Ahal", and in the decisive match for the main trophy, "Altyn Asyr" and "Ashgabat" will meet.
