Turkmenistan is a major producer and exporter of electricity

At an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held on Friday, it was noted that since the beginning of the year, the growth rate of electricity production in the country amounted to 111.6 percent, and its export - 134.5 percent. The plan was fulfilled by 113.3 and 178.1 percent, respectively. Such a rapid growth of the electric power industry of Turkmenistan and its export potential is the result of a purposeful policy implemented in recent years. Large investments are made in the industry, large-scale projects are being implemented together with the technologically developed countries of the world, innovative, environmentally friendly technologies are used at new power facilities.

Turkmenistan proposes to create a zone of peace, trust and cooperation “Central Asia - Caspian region”

Neutral Turkmenistan, sharing the vision of peace and trust as interrelated categories expressed in the resolutions of the UN General Assembly and the UN Strategy until 2030, in other multilateral acts, believes that they are the basis for strengthening and further development of the modern architecture of international relations. This approach strengthens mutual understanding, creates conditions for the recognition of diversity in all its many manifestations, and promotes peaceful coexistence.

Outcome of the high level regional meeting allow us to look ahead confidently

Turkmenistan - Italy: prospects for trade, economic and investment cooperation

The July 7 presentation "Investments and Business Opportunities for Cooperation with Turkmenistan for Italian Companies" was another step in the development of cooperation. A powerful pulse to relations between the two countries was given by the official visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Italian Republic in November 2019, during which were discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Considerable number of signed documents includes the Agreement between the governments of two countries on production cooperation and the Program of trade and economic cooperation for 2021 – 2023, Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation of profile organizations in the sphere of natural protection and Memorandum of Understanding between energy departments and other important documents.
