Neutrality creates favourable external conditions for domestic development and allows Turkmenistan to consistently achieve high rates of economic and social growth. This was stated by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the Forum for peace and trust held in Ashgabat, timed to coincide with International neutrality day and the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.
«It is precisely neutrality and its derivative – an «open door» foreign economic policy – that, by providing favourable external conditions for domestic development, allows Turkmenistan to consistently achieve high rates of economic and social development, improve the standard and quality of life of the population, conduct dynamic trade and investment cooperation, and be an attractive, reliable, and promising partner for the implementation of major international projects», – the head of state said.
As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised, by pursuing a course of neutrality, peacefulness, and openness, the country has achieved an unprecedented level of trust, mutual understanding, and cooperation with dozens of countries at the bilateral level and within multilateral associations, as well as with key international institutions.
