Speaking at the International forum for peace and trust in Ashgabat, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced plans by Russian companies to implement new large-scale investment projects in the Turkmen market.

The head of the Russian state emphasised the dynamic development of bilateral economic ties.

«In the first 10 months of 2025, trade turnover has already grown by 35%, significantly more than in the entire previous year. Russian companies are committed to implementing new investment projects in the Turkmen market», – Vladimir Putin noted.

The Russian leader also noted that the strategic partnership between the two countries is strengthening in the spirit of friendship and good-neighbourliness and serves as a shining example of how partnerships should be built in multipolar world of today.

According to Vladimir Putin, cooperation between the countries is actively developing in areas such as energy and transport. These sectors are priorities for expanding cooperation.

«With the active participation of Russia and Turkmenistan, large-scale multilateral economic initiatives are being implemented, including in the Caspian sea and Central Asia, the construction of the «North-South» main transport corridor is underway, and bilateral interregional contacts are steadily developing», – the Russian leader emphasised.

In conclusion of his speech, President Vladimir Putin expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, for the warm welcome, cordiality, and hospitality.
