A Conference Dedicated to the 2026 Motto Was Held in Ankara

On 22 January 2026, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Türkiye organized a conference in Ankara dedicated to the 2026 national motto - “Independent neutral Turkmenistan - the homeland of purposeful winged horses” - as well as to the opportunities for developing trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and Türkiye.

The conference was held at the premises of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The event was attended by representatives of various ministries and government agencies of the Republic of Türkiye, heads of diplomatic missions, as well as leaders of international and socio-political organizations. The conference also brought together heads and experts of analytical centers, representatives of the academic and creative communities, members of the Turkmen diaspora, students, and media representatives.

During the first session, it was noted that the 2026 motto logically continues the ideas of 2025, which, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, was declared the International Year of Peace and Trust by a relevant Resolution of the United Nations General Assembly.

It was emphasized that the symbolism of the current motto is determined not only by the historical commitment of the Turkmen people to their roots, but also by the objective realities of the modern era. In this context, it was noted that Turkmenistan consistently puts forward important international initiatives aimed at strengthening peace, trust, and sustainable development on the global stage.

In particular, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan’s initiative to proclaim 2028 as the International Year of Law reflects the country’s commitment to the principles of international law and the rule of law. Special attention was also paid to preparations for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.

Speakers noted that Turkmenistan is confidently moving along the path toward achieving high goals. Thanks to the successful implementation of the policy pursued under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, the country consistently ensures the well-being and sustainable living standards of its citizens.

Within the framework of the second session, participants exchanged views on promising areas for the development of Turkmen-Turkish trade and economic cooperation, as well as on attracting mutual investments in the oil and gas chemical industry, the agro-industrial complex, transport and logistics, and telecommunications and information technologies.

During the discussions, it was noted that Turkmenistan actively supports the development of the private sector and the attraction of foreign investment by providing various incentives and favorable conditions for doing business.
