On September 4, 2026, an open lesson organized by the Consulate of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation (Astrakhan city) was held at the Magtymguly Fragi secondary school in the village of Funtovo of the Privolzhsk district of the Astrakhan region. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.

The primary goal of the event was to promote the peaceful foreign policy of the Turkmen state, to highlight the socio-political significance of the upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty, as well as to strengthen the traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation,

The open lesson was attended by diplomats of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan, the leadership of the school, faculty members and pupils, as well as representatives of the Astrakhan branch of the Humanitarian Association of World Turkmens.

During the lesson, statements delivered by the school principal, diplomats from the Consulate, and members of the Turkmen diaspora focused on Turkmen-Russian relations, mutual cooperation and the political significance of the upcoming Halk Maslahaty meeting.

Following the event, the guests visited the school museum, where they got acquainted with the rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as the national traditions of the Turkmen people.
