President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system, during which key issues of national life were discussed.
During the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on the program of events marking the anniversary of the introduction of the national currency, the manat.
In honour of the 33rd anniversary of the introduction of the manat, a scientific-practical conference is planned, themed: «The National Manat – Foundation for Rapid Development in a New Historical epoch. The forum program includes familiarizing participants with the initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan regarding socio-economic development of the country, discussing large-scale reforms in the banking sector, and identifying ways to further strengthen cooperation with international financial institutions.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the deputy prime to ensure a high organisational standard of preparation for the upcoming scientific-practical forum.
