The anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan echoed with the celebrations in honour of the remarkable date in foreign countries. The great news came from China. The book “Medicinal Herbs of Turkmenistan” by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov translated in Chinese was published in this country to mark the 20th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan. This project was initiated and organized by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China-Central Asia Friendship Association with the assistance of the Embassy of Turkmenistan to the People’s Republic of China.
The translation of the Turkmen leader’s book was supervised by Associate Professor of the Beijing Foreign Studies University Wang Liang. Specialists of the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and the Shanghai Company studying European, Asian, American medicine were involved in the translation and preparation of the book for publication.
As is known, this unique encyclopaedia on medicinal herbs and folk herbal medicine published in Turkmen, Russian, English and other languages, which now belongs to millions of foreign readers, provides them with a unique opportunity to learn about the centuries-old practices and traditions of the Turkmen people who have made a significant contribution to the treasury of achievements of world civilization, including in medicine.
