An old business partner of Turkmenistan that made significant contribution to development of various branches of the national economy of our country, including the textile industry, healthcare, etc. - the Turkish company Kotam Enterprises Ltd. made a presentation of new construction projects drafted on instruction of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the Oguzkent Hotel in Ashgabat. A number of Vice Premiers, the heads of the Kotam Enterprises Ltd., relevant ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, as well as journalists attended the presentation.
It was reported, during a recent working visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Turkey, the top managers of the well-known Turkish company President Muammer Agim and Vice President Seda Gengoru and others presented a number of projects on construction of social and economic facilities to the Turkmen leader for consideration. Commenting on the projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made specific comments and gave detailed recommendations for their improvement.
Within the framework of the presentation in the Oguzkent Hotel, the Turkish architects and designers presented the results of work done to improve these projects. Among them are the project construction of a shipyard and its master plan, a project on development of electronic document management in the healthcare system, which includes construction of the building of the information centre of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and creation of a unified database and shared network, which will unite all medical institutions in the country. Moreover, the projects on construction of business and trading centres, modernization of the power-supply system, including the laying of high voltage transmission lines, reconstruction of existing and construction of new power plants.
During the presentation, the top managers of the company told about the benefits of introduction of electronic medical records into the public health system, and other aspects of informatization of this sphere that will allow uniting all medical facilities in the country, and increasing the efficiency and quality of medical services. The information centres will be supplied with equipment and software produced by the world leading manufacturers.
As of the projects on increasing the capacity of electric power industry and improving its work, one of the central topics for discussions was construction of the 500-kilovolt Ashgabat - Balkanabat - Turkmenbashi power line. The total project length of the transmission line is 620 kilometers. Two substations will be built on the line that will ensure the reliability and continuity of electrical systems. The projects on construction of gas turbine power plants in the etraps of Ahal Velayat were also considered during the presentation.
Within the framework of the presentation, particular attention was paid to the project on construction of multi-functional business center in the Turkmen capital. The project envisages construction of a four-storey trading centre, two office buildings and a parking designed for 1,500 cars on a total area of two hectares. As was noted, all necessary conditions will be created in the complex to provide business and trading services, organization of various events, including international ones. According to the managers of the company, the complex will combine the traditions of the national architecture with the new trends of the modern urban planning.
During the presentation the projects on modernization of the Turkmenbashi International seaport attracted special attention. The representatives of the company noted that proposals of the President of Turkmenistan and comments of the heads of the relevant structures were taken into account while drafting the projects.
Thus, the project presented by the Kotam Enterprises Ltd. envisages construction of a cargo, container and passenger terminals, as well as repair shipyard.
The moorage will occupy the 450-meter strand and will stretch to the sea to 300 meters. Every year the shipyard will down six ships off the stocks into the sea. The enterprise will be supplied with the advanced equipment produced by the world leading manufacturers, so the work of the enterprise will satisfy the international standards.
The presentation allowed those present to look into the future of the country, and to adjust the partners' efforts on the most important areas of cooperation.
