On September 4, the 55th meeting of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States will be held in Ashgabat. According to the instruction of the President of Turkmenistan, one of the organizers of the forum will become the Ministry of Economy and Development of Turkmenistan, which will conduct the meeting jointly with the CIS Executive committee. As is noted, this event will be held in connection with the chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2012.
