The 55th meeting of Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in the Turkmen capital.

The agenda has included the issues of trade-economic, fiscal, cultural and humanitarian spheres, energy, transport-communication sector and ecology. Projects of the Concept on creation of the bank of patents and innovations, Plan of top priority events on realization of the Concept of cooperation of CIS member countries in the sphere of energy, Plan of priority events in the sphere of humanitarian cooperation of CIS member countries for 2013-2014 were submitted for consideration of the forum participants. It was discussed a packet of documents related to the formation of normative and legal basis of economic relations between member states of the Commonwealth and others.

According to the results of the 55th meeting of Economic Council, it was passed a series of documents aimed at further strategic partnership in various trends of socio-economic activity. Within the framework of the meeting, Integrated Budget of the CIS authorities for 2013 has been agreed as well.
