At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, it was held the meeting with delegation of Republic of Lithuania at the head of the director of Department for eastern neighborhood policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country Edminas Bagdonas arrived the day before in the Turkmen capital for participation in VI International exhibition of telecommunication, telemetering, information technologies and broadcasting equipment “Turkmentel-2012” and International scientific conference “Turkmenistan and world information-telecommunication systems”.

In the course of constructive view exchange on modern condition and prospects of fruitful Turkmen-Lithuanian cooperation, the meeting participants declared for further accumulation of joint efforts on priority trends of cooperation in bilateral scale and within the framework of international structures, including EU. In this connection, particular role was attached to the cooperation in fuel-energy, trade-economic, cultural and humanitarian fields, and sphere of food industry, machine- and shipbuilding, woodworking and textile industry, tourism and others.

Within the framework of the cultural program of the visit, the delegation members of the friendly country will familiarize with cultural and historical sights of Turkmenistan, visit the Main National Museum and Turkmen Carpet Museum.
